This blog is dedicated to strategic articles about the VTES card game.
On this page you will find out a bit more about this game and what we aim to do.
- WHAT IS VTES ?
Vampire: The Eternal Struggle (VTES for short) is a collectible card game based on White Wolf’s award-winning roleplaying game, Vampire: The Masquerade. In VTES, players take on the roll of ancient vampires called Methuselahs who use a variety of vampiric agents (represented by cards) to act against one another. These actions (also represented by cards) can be aimed at physical resources, political influence or even social spheres. Unlike many other such card games, VTES is designed primarily for multiple players, and its official tournaments use that format (rather than the one-on-one duels more common in other games).
- IS VTES CURRENTLY AVAILABLE ?
We are happy to say : YES ! After a period “in torpor”, VTES is now printed again by Black Chantry Productions. Cards can currently be ordered online and will hopefully soon be back in game shops !
Some cards are as of now available only as PDF downloads, but can be played officially in all VTES tournaments. They can be found on this link.
- WHAT MAKES VTES SPECIAL ?
Well, VTES is a really great game, and has been named “best multiplayer CCG of all time” by Inquest Magazine. Its unique blend of pure tactics and of diplomacy, with the added flavour from the roleplaying setting, make it a really special experience, and believe me, quite an addictive one !
- HOW CAN I PLAY VTES ?
Well all you need is some cards and some good friends ! But of course it isn’t that simple when you start : VTES has a deep learning curve, and that’s why we’re here !
On Information Highway you will find strategic advice for beginning, intermediate and advanced players. We will also give you links to all the ressources that will help you enjoy this game !
- WHAT CAN I FIND ON THIS SITE ?
Our goal is to propose useful ressources for the players who want to improve, no matter their current level. This game is quite complex, and we all have a margin for improvement. We found a lack on this subject in existing ressources, maybe due to the specificities of this game. We will do our best to fill this perceived gap, and we hope to learn a lot along the way too !
